Word for the Year
In this course , you will discover what you can use more of in your life, what characteristics you would like to have and how you want to feel going forward. Using stone meditation, journaling and mixed-media collage, you will reflect, visualize and find your word for the year. You will play with distress sprays and stamps as you put your “word” intention into the world.
Paper: watercolor paper (card stock can work)
glue (modge podge or gel medium) and paintbrush
painters tape and something to tape paper to (wood, table)
distress spray (Tim Holtz) in at least two colors
wipes, water, paper towel
magazines or old book
30 minutes of instruction
-Open your heart with a short meditation
-Discover what word inspires you for the year
-Create a mixed media collage
-Feel focused going forward
Your Guide: Carol Fennell
Carol Fennell bridges art and life through exploration, discovery, curiosity and creativity. She has been a full time artist for over twenty years and her work can be found in galleries, private collections and custom installations across the country. She is excited to bring wellness and creativity together to cultivate wellbeing, self-expression and authenticity. Outside of the studio, she can be find hiking the Colorado trails or traveling around the world.
