About the event

Ever wonder what's up with hashtags? In this interactive presentation, social media coach Caron Shahrestani explains how they work, why they matter and what the best ones are for your niche. We will also cover tips for doing hashtag research, including how to save them for later so that you don't have to reinvent the wheel every time you post. www.caronmodernmedia.com

The second half of the meeting will consist of break out groups. Choose your group early to ensure availabilty.

Group I Growing Forward – discuss the direction of your creativity and you’ll soon be bursting with innovative and creative ideas for moving forward in your creative life.  “Why” you create, how to fit creating time into your life on a regular basis, and where you are going next with your creative work are examples of topics up for discussion.Growing thrives on curiosity. Our ability to wonder, to dig into something and search for answers, fuels our innovative thoughts and ignites growth.

Group II Business Focus – discuss topics related to the business of creativity. Topics might include marketing and social media, obtaining gallery representation, professional websites, and selling/marketing your work online. It’s easy to become overwhelmed by the staggering amount of business information that’s out there.  Start here by focusing on areas where you want to make improvements.

Group III Show and Share – present and discuss your creative work, and find out what other members are creating. Spark your imagination and creativity by asking questions and receiving feedback on artwork in this immersive group.  You may discover that you thrive on the process of discovery. Asking for a critique of your artwork is optional.
